Feeling human again today🤗 I even managed to clean my kitchen and do my washing all by myself. I am so proud.😎 So I was thinking that tonight I would just have a chilled… zero writing evening!! But then so much happened today and I almost can’t help myself.😂 (Mmm…. I think it comes from 28 plus years of journalling.) But I’m going to write a short one tonight….

So I accidentally clicked on a link today that took me to this Matthew Hussey video. I absolutely laughed out loud…I seriously love this guy. It is so freakin’ true what he says.
A few weeks ago I was chatting to a good friend who was upset because she had invited a friend to a party only to have her friend moan at her afterwards that she had felt left out. My friend was devasted as she said she had tried to introduce her to other people and it looked like she was having fun….so she didn’t really understand what she had done wrong? My friend is a wonderful, fun, kind and generous person. It broke my heart that she thought she was the one in the wrong here. (This has also not been the first time this friend has had a go at her.) A few weeks ago on a night out with my friend she sat patiently, while I chatted to someone at the bar, without so much as a hint of irritation when I returned. I apologised for keeping her waiting and she just laughed it off. She truly is a good friend.

So now listening to her my simple internal thoughts were:
(Thank God I’m not in my 20’s anymore…they were so emotionally draining) and seriously Ditch the friend! But I tried more subtly to explain to her that life really is too short to be running around babysitting your friends….or to have friends that continually pick on your perceived shortcomings as a reason for their unhappiness.

Anyway, this video just made me think of that…and it made me think especially of all the healthy friends I have that are regularly shouting: “NEXT” to me when I have a shitty dating experience. 😂So this is for them. I love you loads ❤💖
