It’s meeeeeeeeee I’m backπ
My friend Marieta joked yesterday that I’m not going to be able to stop writing…and day 42 will roll into 43…into 44…..
This is just going to be a short one, cause I have a date with an actual book tonight.Β ππππ..But I just had to share this!!!!!!
Last week a group of grade 7 children trooped into our class to ask Titshalakazi if she could start a singing group with them. Titshalakazi is tutting away about not having any musical training, and I’m sitting there going:
“You are asking the wrong person….”
More begging with Tishalakazi …..
Me: “Uuuhhmmmm you are asking the wrrrrrrrrooooonnnngggg person. (Internal dialogue: Pick me!!! Pick me!!!)

Finally
So I informed the group that it will only start next term after half term, as I mentally prepare all that will need to be sorted before then.Β
a) find a venue
b) sort out a time
c)sort out music and how we are going to play it…????Β π±π°π¬
So much to organise and plan, you know.
So imagine my surprise today to see all 8 kids back.
They have prepared a song.
They have the music….
….they even have their own boombox.π
Titshalakazi and I sit back to listen…and I am absolutely blown away
I absolutely love working with kids; their creativity and eagerness to just have fun is always inspiring. I learn from them
So thank you to an amazing bunch of brave kids… never lose your determination to do what you love. (Plus, if you sound this good without any proper practising, I can’t wait to hear a completely polished piece.Β πΒ )
Titshalakazi and I are so proud to be working with you all….but from the looks of things it seems like you will all be leading the way π£π£π£π£
Nite Nite
