Friendship, Gratitude, Just a random day

A Life Full of Surprises

If you are single, and you survived it!

Well done you, you are a trooper:-)

I was on holiday this week, so it’s been a week of proposal writing.

I took the day off on Wednesday to go and help Richard buy more plants for his little balcony garden

I would like to say that I went with him out of the goodness of my heart but he promised to buy me coffee and cake afterwards, so I was in.

PS We had a talk about the ducks.

Richard reminded me that I showed him that duck video the day that he moved in so he bought them to commemorate our one-year-flatemate anniversary which was on the 30th of January!

Bless, he is the sweetest.

In the evening my other flatmate Teresa cooked dinner for my friend Marisol and me.

Random Information: When I first met Marisol she didn’t speak a word of English.

It’s funny how you just meet some people and even though you don’t speak the same language,

you just click.

Marisol is this bundle of smiley joy and love.

She is still quite young, she turned 24 this week and has no family over here so I feel quite motherly and protective of her.

Most of our communication is done through Google Translate…which is hilarious in itself, especially when it doesn’t work properly.

I look forward to the day we can chat without good old google.

And then finally.

The news of the hour!

Are you ready????

I have

for the last 5 months

been living

with

a

closeted gourmet chef!

I am gushing, I know….but I seriously had no idea that food could be so

……um

fucking delicious?

This is

I feel like I’ve died,

and been reborn a ‘foodie’

I mean I hate people that take pictures of their food….

I do!!!

I even wrote a blog post, (See a Man about a Dog)

about how much I hate people

who take pictures of their food.

The best thing is that now that Teresa has awakened her inner ‘Jamie Oliver’ she can’t stop cooking me food.

The possession is finally over.

My life once again has meaning and purpose – long may it last.
